Hello all, For a $100.00 more we can stay at The Wynn hotel instead of The Paris hotel. My question is, will staying that far off the strip keep us from having that Las Vegas experience (ie. hustle & bustle outside your hotel, bright lights etc..)? My sister and I are not big gamblers or partiers, but we do want to have that Las Vegas experience. Any and all opinions are welcome, thanks !!

The Wynn is on the strip though I think considered North strip. Though it's on the sention still within walking distance of Central strip. I haven't been there, but will check it out this June when we are in vegas. There are posts on the Wynn, and it sounds fantastic. To me the Paris would be a splurge, and I did eat there when we stayed at Bally's. Liked Mon Ami Gabi, the 24 hr. cafe and the Creperie.

Everyone raves about the Wynn--don't know it myself, but Paris is a really great hotel and has a superb location which is a very easy walk to a lot of other places--Caeasar's, Bellagio and Mirage, just to name some off the top of my head. Unlike a lot of hotels, when you exit Paris you are actually *on* a sidewalk, and not at the end of some (what feels like a football field-length) driveway or walkway.

We stayed at the Wynn last year, and the rooms are fabulous. But if you want to be right in the middle of things, you might prefer Paris. My husband still likes the Bellagio best.

The rooms at Paris are on the small side. I haven't stayed at the Wynn. It's probably a toss up of room versus staying in the heart of things. I walked from the Venetian to the Wynn in a short time. It's not as far from things as you may think.

The rooms at Bellagio are beautiful, but you have to walk what seems like miles from the front desk to the guest elevators. After a few days, it got old. Also, the restaurants at Bellagio are very expensive. It's worth a walk-through even if you're not staying there. So is the Venetian.

What time of year are you going? The pools at Wynn are much better than Paris.

The Wynn; Paris is so fake and tacky. It is nothing like being in actual Paris, France, but more like Disney Land.

I have to respectfully diagree w/the above comment....*of course* Paris is fake! What is real in Las Vegas?? Comparing it to WDW is very appropriate and IMO, not an insult, but just descriptive. It is still very cute for what it is, and is on a much more human scale than many of the behemoth hotels and casinos in Las Vegas.

I have to laugh at the discouragement of staying at the Paris for someone looking for a true Las Vegas experience. That means they're looking for fake and Disney-esqe. So yes, Paris is that. Meanwhile how is Wynn any more real -- it's a Disney like interpretation of over the top as well -- just a little less specific theme?

Without a question- The Wynn. We spent five days there this summer and loved every minute. The hotel and pool is amazing. Restaurants and service are excellent as well - well worth a $100 more a night!!!

For a $100 more for the Wynn, I would go to the Wynn, hands down..
The Paris Hotel is a wonderful property and have had great times there too.
The rooms, pools, restaurants and overall decor is outstanding at the Wynn.

The Wynn may very well be, and from what everyone says, the more elegant locale. However, since our dear OP wants to know which place is in the middle of the "hustle and bustle", then the answer is Paris.
