ON TIME PERCENTAGES US Airways
Does this happen frequently to fliers or does it vary by day and/or flight.
I bought some airline tickets (in this case US Airways). My ticket, when purchased, said the flight was 90-100% on time. The website said 70% and the airline via phone said 70-79%.
I am wondering if the difference listed on my ticket and their website is due to the fact that they calculate it by flight or by day. or something else, whatever that may be. Thanks in advance.

On time recored also changes a lot by time of year. In the N you get lots of delays in the winter, further south they tend to be in mid summer - with T storms and tornados closing airports. And obviously time of day and if the flight originates there - or is coming from another airport matters a lot.

However, at the time of purchase, the ticket, whose on time percentage should be up to date, said 80-100%. Upon looking at the website and calling, it is, all of a sudden 70%.
I found that peculiar.
