Oahu Nightlife for Ladies in late 20's

we are 3 ladies in our late 20's making a spontanteous long weekend trip to Honolulu in late April. Any tip on fun spots for nightlife? We will be in town friday, sat and sunday nights. Staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

thanks!

You'll be fairly close to the Wave nightclub, and the restaurant at the W (at the other end of Waikiki) is a pretty popular club on Friday nights.

What kind of music are you looking for in nightclubs?

The possibilities are endless in Waikiki and Honolulu. You might want to check with some of the locals when you get there to see what are some happening spots right now. There are some places that all the locals go to and there are others that are pretty much all tourists.

Fun bars are Duke's at the Outrigger Waikiki for sunset, Tiki's at the Aston and the Mai Tai Bar at Ala Moana Mall. The bar at Indigo in Chinatown is pretty cool, too.

Zanzabar Nightclub or Scruples Beach Club Waikiki are possibilities.

Since you'll be staying at the HHV, check out Olomana in the Paradise Lounge, right there in the HHV. They are an awesome local recording group and it's a really laid back atmosphere in that open air lounge. No cover charge, I think there's a two drink minimum - something that's not usually a problem, what with all the yummy tropical drinks to sample while you're there ....

Moose McGillycuddy's is nice. It's on Lewers.
On Friday nights, the Hilton has a Polynesian show and firework display.

Thanks for the great responses...one last question...do bars stay open late in Honolulu or close early. My friends are arriving at around 11:30pm and i was hoping there was somewhere to go out for a drink when they get it...

thanks!

I second Moose McGillycuddy's. We went there two or three nights the last time when we were in Waikiki, and we look foward to going there again when we're back next month. Tons of fun, great music, and they have drink specials every night. They're open til after 3am.

If I recall to back when I used to stay up that late , the nightclubs will either close at 2 a.m. or 4 a.m., depending on what type of license they have.
