Jenack,
Thanks for responding to my question. You really didn't explain why you feel they are inferior in comparison to others in major museums. However, you are entitled to your own opinion of the show's selection of works. I was just hoping for a more thorough response and reason why.

Thanks Howard!

If anyone hears that this sub-par exhibit is extended (I know, wishful thinking) would you please post the info? I won't be back to NYC until late June. Thanks!

It's so ludicrous to refer to any Monet painting as "not of museum quality." Gee, where can I get one of those potential discards?

Wow, I was just in NYC today! Wish I would have known...

The Marmottan was one of my favorite visits in Paris. Just sitting there surrounded by so many wonderful colors...

I, unlike jenack, thought this show was a little jewel. Small but superb. We loved seeing some of the variations on the more famous works. And to have the opportunity to see the pices that were part of provate collections was a real treat. We went on a Monday in the late morning and had no problems getting in.

If you're in the city and have an interest in art, I'd highly recommend going to this show!

Thanks for the heads up Margo_Chester. I went to this yesterday and was very pleased that I did.
The lines were long, but went pretty fast.
