Anyone else besides me worried a bit about a 9/11 anniversary attack this year?

I would like to go into the city for the memorials, but I do worry...........

There was a Con Edison transformer fire a few weeks ago. Three fighter jets zoomed through the sky as it was happening. NYC is under constant surveillence. Don't think there will be a repeat.

British Air will not be flying to the US on that day.There were hardly any people wanting to fly,so they cut the flights out for 9/11.
We will be here though,going to a couple of memorials for friends.
Being glad that the US is still pretty damn safe compared to a lot of other places in this world.

I don't know Jack - there's a lot of people who do have to go to work and I believe they'll all be there.

Same thing here in D C - we'll all be the Pentegon - We learned a hard, painful lesson - we ARE vulnerable. But should this make us scared, and frightened? I hope not - it should make us all a lot more observant of what's happening around you.

Just a small note, but have any of you considered that the Muslim calendar is lunar? The anniversary of Sept. 11 2001 on the Hijri calendar is actually September 1, 2002, the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

British Airways has not cancelled all flight in/out of JFK and EWR on 9/11.
There are at least 6 flights into and 6 flights out of JFK and EWR to Heathrow.
They cut a couple of flights due to demand, that's all.
Geez.

They say there's no real "evidence" that points the finger at the 9/11 hijackers, and that the rest of us are just sheep who'll beleive anything we hear.

The hole in their "logic": They never define what, for them, would be sufficient "evidence." So their criteria can never be met.

If Osama bin Laden himself walked up to one of these idiots and said, "I did it," they'd say, "Oh, that's not bin Laden. It's an imposter."

And, no, I'm not staying out of MYC on 9/11. Screw them.

I am a New Yorker who had a very interesting conversation with a Pakistani limo driver last night...He and most of his friends/family sincerly believe that 9/11 was carried out by Jews who were upset that Gore/Lieberman lost the election and wanted to make Bush look bad...Shows you how sick and twisted this world can be.

I'm more worried about being bombarded by the media than by terrorists. I'm so SICK of seeing the images of the WTC every day. I don't WANT to be forced to relive these memories when they are still so fresh.

If I'm not on a free Spirit Airlines trip on that day, I'll be here in NYC, at work with everyone else.
