In the Village I really really like The Peculiar Pub. You should pop into McSorley's if you can. I also like St. Mark's Ale House. West Village - Barrow's Street Ale House.
I do not know the last two but if it is on St. Marks, you are not going to get a lot of Ny'ers. McSorley's is really a tourist hauunt as the Peculiar.
