I purchased a group of tickets from StubHub last summer for a bachlorette party.

I was able to find a large selection in different price ranges, and it was very convenient to search for the numbers of seats I needed.

I first looked at StubHub a few months before purchasing and noticed a MUCH better selection than when I finally bought the tickets a few weeks before the game. I also did not notice the prices going down as the game approached - but I also didn't really wait until the last moment either because I needed 6 seats together.

Most Yankee games sell out. And unless it's a really bad team the price never goes down - only up as you get closer - and the more moderately priced tickets are sold first.

This is good information. Thanks. I am looking for one or two tickets to the last regular season game which will certainly be a sellout. I will keep checking StubHub..price are well up into the high hundreds now for good seats!!

You can keep checking stubhub, but I agree with above posters - price will not go down. In all likelihood this will not only be last regular season game at Yankee Stadium, but the last baseball game, since Yankees will not be making the playoffs. That will keep prices very high, even though team will not be playing for anything at that point (disclaimer - I am a Red Sox fan, but I really do doubt prices will go down for this special game)

For good seats for the last game be happy the prices aren;t in the thousands. If a lot of people want it the price goes up - basic market economics.

Update: I should have purchased the StubHub tickets when I first posted, as they have, indeed, gone up in price!
