Northwest airlines
Please tell if this airline is good. I'm looking for tickets from San Francisco to Hawaii and with that airline i get a good price although my major 'plus' for booking with them is that i'll earn more miles with my OnePass (Continental). Thanks!

Well my experience wasnt as wonderful as others. I flew from san diego to RI. The plane was old and gross, a couple times during some turbulence I thought the wing was gonna fall off the plane. scary, it was the first time I was ever scared on a plane. How about southwest airlines they fly to Hawii, I never had a problem with traveling with them, always have great experience. But NW might be okay, it might have been the plane we got?

NW is just a regular big 'ole airline. So, you'll have some good stories, some bad stories - like all the airlines.
Everything you might want to know about the (and more) can be found here:

I wouldn't hesitate to fly them anywhere.

NW uses the 757-300 for SFO-HNL, which is a single aisle plane. It's a fairly new aircraft, unlike its infamous DC-9s from the 60's.
But there's no individual video screen, only LCDs dropping down from the overhead every few rows. And it's a single-aisle plane, so won't be as comfortable as widebodies on UA.
But if the price is right and you want CO miles, there's no reason not not fly them.

flep - Any aircraft will be scary if you hit turbulence. And Southwest doesn't go to Hawaii. Only their partner ATA does.

Have flown Northwest to Bangkok 3 times and to Amsterdam. Amsterdam the Airbus 330 which was wonderful Even flew Business class to Bangkok once-perfect.
I have never had a problem with them, but as any airline today there can be a problem.

Oh please-NWA is a BIG airline and Mpls is one of their hubs. It's practically the only airlines I can fly.
They're just fine; the pilots are all licensed and the airplanes are FAA approved. However, the flight attendants don't smile--so forget any warm and fuzzy customer service.
Plus NWA needs the money.
