noise around O'Hare airport

I was considering stay at the Hyatt Rosemont outside of O'Hare Airport. Can you hear the airplanes when you are inside the hotel. Should I consider another hotel??

It's been a while (3-4 years) since I've been there...BUT, the Hyatt in Rosemont is not a great hotel.

Old, weird layout, not very clean. I wrote a letter to the manager that it was the most expensive hotel room I've ever stayed in that had cockroaches in the bathroom. No response

The Westin O'Hare or Sofitel are better choices near the airport...used to stay there a lot...noise was never a problem at either

Hey Bob, the "Hyatt Regency" is the old one. The new one is on River Road and Devon. I'm sure its very nice. But don't know about the noise. Bring earplugs.

It's expensive but the Hilton at O'Hare can't be beat if you want to stay right at the airport. It's attached to the terminal. I didn't hear any plane noise when I was there.

We stayed at the O'Hare Marriott and liked it very much. You cannot hear the planes at all. It has a big pool where you can swim both inside and outside. Great breakfast and often included in room rate.
