Nines Hotel Restaurant Portland OR
Anyone eaten at Departure in the Nines Hotel in Portland? Looking for an interesting place to meet a friend for lunch. We will both be in Portland at the same time next month. The website doesn't show a menu or prices .....

I stayed there but didn't eat up at Departure. Are you sure it's open for lunch? My impression was that it was more of a night club first and a restaurant second.
Portland has tons of great restaurants so you won't have any trouble finding a good place to go. If you want to stay downtown, Andina in the Pearl would be a great and somewhat unusual option (Peruvian food).

Andina would be a good place with good ambiance. It has a bar and attracts a hip crowd. The food is very good as is the service. It is always very crowded, so make sure you have reservations.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know anything about Departure until I saw an article in Sunset but I will certainly check out the other suggestions. Actually my friend is staying near the airport and wanted me to pick out a great place for lunch and I love downtown Portland so that was my suggestion. We could take MAX and enjoy the day together.....
