New Smyrna Beach, St. Augustine, or another?

What's the best kids beach in northeast Florida?

St. Augustine's beaches are beautiful..and in my opinion, no where near as crowded as many others. Beautiful white sand, and when you're done w/the beach, you're in the Nation's oldest city with lost of things do do.

Well, haven't been to St. Augustine, but I was just to New Smyrna with 10 kids age 2-14 and they had a wonderful time! It's a pretty beach and wasn't overly crowded at the time.

I agree with the St. Augustine Beach. Actually, there's a most GORGEOUS section of beach just S. of St. Augustine, and just south of Marineland on A1A at the Washington Oaks State Park. There's a state park on the west side of the road which is absolutey breathtaking - a FAVORITE PLACES place (!), and a beach directly across the street with brown coarse sand beach and big rocks (never see this in Florida) with tide pools. Verry pretty!
