The concerts at Preservation Hall and a muffelato (sp) sandwich. I also thought the Greyline tour of the city was worthwhile.

Take in the scene of Bourbon St when it's hoppin'. Excellent people watching.

We liked a trip out to the original Tipitina's. Great zydeco...good people.

St. Charles Street car out to the Garden District...

A sunrise at Cafe du Monde because you can't remember where your hotel is after cocktails with The Smiths of Ohio???.

And...food food food!

Two Days In New Orleans ...
For first timers?

Cafe Du Monde
Bourbon Street
Jackson Square
Cathedral
Tour of St. Louis NO. 1 Cemetary
French Market
Preservation Hall
Gumbo Shop

For myself!
I'd stick to the Quarter with just
2 days. I'd say hello to the Mississippi River, listen to the jazz band in Jackson Square, and have beignets at Cafe Du Monde. I'd eat at GW Fins for dinner, Quarter Scene Restaurant for breakfast, and Port of Call for Lunch. I'd browse the shops and just generally take it all in. Oh yes, and I would spend some time at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. One of our favorite spots!
