Need hotel rec ommendation in Tucson

Going to Tucson where my husband has a conference at the Westin LaPoloma Feb 12-15. The hotel is sold out and looking for two recommendations. 1) a hotel near the conference (Westin) or him to stay. an or 2) a nice resort spa not too far away for us to celebrate our anniversarty Feb 15-16

Although it is not really close to Westin, JW Marriott Starr Pass is heads above the Westin. I highly recommend it. http://www.jwmarriottstarrpass.com/

Westward Look isn't too far from Westin. http://www.westwardlook.com/

It is pretty late to be getting rooms . That is Valentine's night and the start of President's Weekend.

Try kayak.com to see what you can find. Might not have a lot of choice.

We had issues at LaPaloma in July 2006. Hopefully, they have done renovations as it was very tired looking. Also, they charge a resort fee which really didn't give you anything for it.

Loews Vantana is close by; but if the Westin has no availability, then they may not have rooms too.

The closest hotel to the Westin is Hacienda del Sol. It's less than five minutes away and one of Tucson's best. It also has an excellent restaurant.

You've probably booked by now. If not our friends just returned from Hacienda Del Sol, had great stay. Meanwhile Tucson is spread out, El Conquistador is North on Oracle, in Oro Valley, not that close to La Paloma.
