Need help with a hotel choice for Charleston
Planning to take my husband to Charleston for 3 nights for his birthday. Have narrowed down hotel choices to Planters Inn, Harborview Inn, Market Pavillion, Governors House. Any suggestions or experience with any of these or any other suggestions? I do not want to spend more than $375.00 per night. Thanks in advance

I would suggested you read GoTravel's suggestions on the following thread. She lives in the area.

Owned by the same group as Harborview is the French Quarter Inn. It was just named Tripadvisor's most favorite U.S. hotel. We have stayed there twice. It was "only" $240/night. Look up the reviews on Tripadvisor! We love it---I'm surprised they don't charge more!! We like the complementary wine and cheese on the veranda daily between 5 and 6:30!

We just came back from a 3 night stay at the French Quarter Inn. It is a great location and a beautiful place with grand staircases, verandas, nice rooms with silky bedding, complimentary breakfast, wine and cheese at 5pm (not exactly gourmet brands but still nice), delicious nightly cookies. Classy, and we only paid an ave of $200/night thru Expedia special.
