Movie theaters in NYC

There are two theaters in Manhattan where you can see Star Wars Episode II in digital (picture and sound) -- the AMC Empire in Times Square and the famous Ziegfield on W. 54th Street. Be aware, however, that not all screens are digital, at least at the Empire.
Just about every theater in Manhattan offers full Dolby Digital sound -- it's a competitive market. I have three theaters (many many screens) within 2 blocks of my apartment.

If I had my choice, I'd go to the Ziegfeld. The AMC is nothing special - just a mall-type movie house. Ah, but the Ziegfeld is gorgeous - my favorite movie theater except for the fact that they haven't booked any good movies for the past few years! In the past I've seen the Lawrence of Arabia reshowing, Last Temptation of Christ, Apocalypse Now...

Sorry - yes, I would have seen Moulin Rouge there - wow, would have been great. Instead of a blanket statement like the one I made, I should have said whenever I am available to go to the movies (not as often as I'd like) and look at the listings, it seems like the Ziegfeld is playing Jimmy Neutron or some Hollywood dreck.
