Monte Carlo in Vegas

Please can anyone help? I have booked to go to the Monte Carlo and have heard good things about it. However now I start seeing things about noise and construction. Has anyone been there lately? It was 59.00 a night and it seems nice. It is myself and my 12 year old son going. He is a magician and Lance Burton is going to meet him. Thanks for any help

From what I understand, there is noise from all the construction in many hotels on the Strip.
You might call the hotel and request a room that is quiet ..
Good Good luck with the Lance Burton meeting !

I stayed there last year and I wasn't too impressed. The price attracts lots of families from California and the pool area was packed with kids.

Wasn't this the hotel that had the rooftop fire recently?..maybe construction is due to that?

In anycase I would call the hotel and ask for a quiet room or look on
cheapovegas.com website at the Vegas casino map and see what is affordable close...?

I wouldn't think a pool area packed with kids would be a problem for someone traveling with a kid

We saw Lance Burton when my son was 13. He loved the show, and you son is very lucky to meet him. For that price I would stay there, and do what Scarlett advised.

When we stayed there recently the construction noise did not interrupt our sleep.

At $59 you have a good deal. If you are given a noisy room, ask to be moved. The desk is pretty good about that if you don't take no for an answer.

thank you all.Yes my son is very lucky. He does magic for the patients at our hospital and has been doing it for about 2 years. I am glad that :ance e-mails Josh and has asked to meet him. He was just written up in the Baltimore sun papers. If it sounds like I am a proud dad than I guess thats because I am.thanks again

for a $59 a night room on the strip you shouldn't be complaining about anything. Especially noise from construction. You shouldn't ever be in your room anyway. IT'S VEGAS!

Lots of construction next door when we were there in Feb but only during the day should there be any noise.

Enjoy your stay, hope your son enjoys meeting Lance.
