Best Hotel in Vegas? FS?
My wife and I, early 30s are planning to head to Las Vegas in late-December. We were planning on staying at the Four Seasons. Any thoughts on the FS vs. the Wynn, Signature at MGM or Bellagio? We have stayed at the Venetian in the Venezia tower on our last trip three years ago. The Skylofts are out of our price range.

I have stayed at THEhotel in Vegas, same location as the 4S, and I really was much happier staying at the Venetian due to the better location. Didn't like being that far down the street....FS hotels are always nice, but in Vegas, I'd rather go with a more "Vegasy" hotel.
The Wynn just rec'd 5 stars from AAA in their new ratings.
I have a reservation there (Wynn) and at the Venezia towers for January. I can't make up my mind myself betwen the 2! We loved the Venezia concierge level a couple of years ago, and I just can't imagine a much better experience, but the Wynn is supposed to be the latest and greatest!
The Signature looks nice too, I just wonder how luxurious their rooms are...sorry, don't think I helped much, lol!

Wynn always gets rave reviews but it is 'out of the way' also. I guess it really depends on what you're going to Vegas for. I've been there enough times to know I'll probably spend some time in Caesars @ the Sport book, & at the pool/spa where I'm staying. I spend very little time in a room, so I'm not likely to pony up big bucks for that anyway. Comps are nice also, and something you should check into before booking the hotel, particularly if you gamble much at all. Basically we go to gamble (some), eat (well) & enjoy a few shows. The sports book is more important too me as I can make $$ on that, or the horses. Table games are have some degree of luck involved, plain & simple. Will I play them sure, but that's not what I'm there for...

I guess I would consider the Paris/Bellag area center strip. Just like I wouldn't consider MB 'center strip' at the other end. For a first-timer that wants to walk the strip, I don't know that I suggest the Wynn, then again, I wouldn't spend the $$$ anyway. So that is a moot point.

Gekko - I understand how wonderful the Wynn is supposed to be. Fact is, when I go to Vegas I either stay on comps or find a deal somewhere. Although there are certainly places I wouldn't stay, there are also places that I would never spend the $$ on. I'm pretty much middle of the road - Paris, MB, Luxor, Ceasars, MC you get the idea.

Totally do the same as you do, SAnParis. MGM has good Sports Book too.
I never spend any time in the room in Vegas myself and find deals, comps or Priceline to be had with the right timing- so no need to pay big bucks, even if you want the best.
