Maui Prince or Wailea Marriott?
I cannot decide which place to stay at. I've read so many reviews online and it just says positives and negatives about both. It'll just be my husband and I looking for a romantic vacation. We'll be renting a car so that's not a problem. It would be nice to have a nice pool but I also would like to be on the beach... again for the pros/cons of each. Has anyone seen both and have a preference? TIA!

I'd go for the Marriott for the hotel, pool and its more central location in Wailea (closer to shops, restaurants, Kihei). The beach fronting the Prince is nice but since you are renting a car, you can drive to any of the beaches in the area.

Well, the beach in front of the Prince is one of the best on the island. I haven't stayed at the Marriott but (if I remember correctly) every room at the Prince has a view of the ocean. A quieter area. I think the combo makes for a romantic location.
We moved there from the Hyatt and were happy to out of the hustle and bustle.

The Marriott is beautiful! It is very close to the beach, close to shopping and has beautifual pool areas. The breakfast buffet provides a gorgeous view of the ocean. The workers are all very friendly. In addition, they have a luau which was very enjoyable!

I have not stayed at the Marriott but have stayed at the Maui Prince because they sent me a fabulous rate. I signed up for their e mail alerts.
If the prices were the same, I would choose the Marriott. We enjoy walking the beachwalk that connects the Wailea hotels. We did enjoy late evening walks on the golf course at the Prince--great views.
The Prince pool is nothing special but we always spend our time on the beach--beach chairs are complimentary at the Prince. We never had trouble getting a chair and we were there in February--great whale watching from the beach in Feb.
Another perk at the Prince, at least when we stayed there, was free self parking and no resort fee. For some reason resort fees just get me. Why can't they just add them on to the price of the room and be done with it?
So if the price is equal, I would suggest the Marriott. If the Prince is significantly less, I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Prince.

Ok one more option.. since the Maui Prince is cheaper, I could do 4 nights there and then spend the extra money to do 3 nights at the Four Seasons. Do yall think that's better or just stay 7 nights in one of the hotels? Thanks!

If you decide to split your stay, perhaps you would want to stay at one of the hotels on Kaanapali Beach, rather than another one in Wailea. You would be closer to Lahaina, if you wanted to eat at one of the restaurants there or do the Old Lahaina Luau. It's about a 40 minute drive from Wailea to Lahaina.

Four Seasons is beautiful but Linda has a great suggestion to move to the West side if you are going split your vacation stay. I'd suggest the Westin on Kaanapali beach for their swimmiing pool, close proximity to Whalers Village (shops & restaurants), and nice beach frontage.
