There's a lagoon/fish pond bewteen the bay and the hotel. I don't think any of the rooms would be ocean front though there would not be any buildings between your front-facing room and the ocean so a sunset would be visible. The bay is really amazing though. Of all the places we've stayed in HI this place is near the top of the list.

Martym....Thanks for the great website. Will not pay the extra charge for ocean front when you are really not on the ocean. Have you stayed at the Fairmont Orchid. Might change to that hotel. Costco has a very good price which includes a convertible.

Hey, Shar. I've stayed at the Fairmont Orchid and thought it was awesome. We had ocean view (angled balcony toward ocean) and it was really nice. Loved the peaceful pool area. There is great snorkeling at their beach with lots and lots of sea turtles!
