Spectacular sunsets! The show starts around 6:00-6:15pm every night! You can be in charge of blowing the conch shell! Also, you get to relax taking long walks on the beach while you look for sand dollars and exotic shells! Check out the local newspaper "Marco Eagle" newspaper on line for current events and their web cam showing current shots of the beach! I think there is a mullet festival in Goodland where they crown a "mullet queen". There's also the Edison Light Parade (evening) in Ft. Myers which is also televised. Thomas Edison and Henry Ford have homes next to each other in Ft. Myers, which is a great place to visit!

After the "Sunset show", not much to see. Maybe 6 years ago, I was visiting my Grandparents in Naples, and they took me down to Marco Island. Not sure whether the amount of things to do has increased, but not much nightlife there for the young folks at least at that time. I did find a movie theater there one night.

SD is right - there's not much, in terms of stuff to do, on Marco Island. Most folks are there for the beach and the nice weather - not the *attractions* (because honestly - there aren't any). If you want a quiet place to relax, a pretty beach and good weather - go and enjoy. If you're looking for anything else (aside from some good restaurants) - try somewhere else.
