I haven't been to Marco Island for a few years. To be honest, I was bored to death. We stayed at the Hilton, layed around in the sun during the day, and went out for dinner at night. If I was a teenager, something with a little excitement would make the trip enjoyable. (Mostly an older crowd.) Sorry to put a damper on your plans.

I disagree with the Sanibel suggestion for teens. Have you been there. It has the same options as Marco Island. There are virtually no restaurants on the beach with the exception of Sundial and the Mucky Duck up on Captiva. There are no night life places and a tiny theatre. Sanibel has restrictions on hotels for spring break to keep the spring break kids away except for those staying at their parent's homes. I would think Fort Myers Beach or Naples would be more fun for them. All the action is on the beach. The only problem would be the free for all at the Lani Kai: spring break central for older teens and college students on the west coast. LMF
