Has anyone stayed at the Marco Island Marriott lately? How are grounds? How are the rooms? Any info please. Thanks

I stayed at the Hilton about a month ago and walked past the MArriott several times. I did not go in the hotel, but from the outside, the resort looks very dated and run down. I had actually called the hotel to check on rooms when I was planning my trip, and was told that one block of suites on the beach was being torn down rather than renovated.
