Courtyard Marriott or Marriott in Philadelphia?

Here is the question, we are using points and a free night certificate for two rooms this summer's vacation at either of these two hotels.

We will save nearly 100,000 points by staying at the Courtyard instead of the Marriott downtown. From what I understand, these two hotels are virtually across the street from each other so location is not a concern. We are not particularly picky people, nor do we plan on spending alot of time at the hotel as this is our first visit to Pennsylvania. We will be using public transportation so parking isn't an issue either.

Is there any significant reason to choose the Marriott over the Courtyard in this case?

I just looked at them on marriott.com and did a comparison. They are close to each other, not quite across the street close.

They both look great. I would go with Courtyard and save those points.

Hope this helps...

This Courtyard is recent vintage, well located and with minimal differences from the full service Marriott. I would opt for the Courtyard and save the 100,000 points.

The Courtyard is across the street, I've stayed there before and had a great view of William Penn. You have to pull up on the other side of the hotel so you don't realize how close you are to the Marriott until you go out the other side of the hotel. Rooms were very nice and large.

Thanks, I think that will be our plan to stay at the Courtyard.
