If you follow space exploration at all, then you have heard of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. Recently I had the great fortune to take a 2 1/2 hour tour of that famed facility, and honestly it was one of the most interesting and informative tours I have ever taken. From seeing large replicas of these amazing spacecraft to viewing a new Mars Rover being constructed to sitting above the iconic Mission Control, the tour enlightened and entertained. To show how popular they are, it takes five months from the time you sign up until the time you take the tour. Believe me, it’s worth the effort (today they are accepting reservations for September!). Oh, and don’t forget to get that picture of yourself with JPL’s “Lucky Peanuts.” One more thing … the tour is FREE! Hope you enjoy my little write-up on JPL.
