Looking for a unique yet elegant function room in Panama City Beach?

We are looking for a restaurant or hotel function room that is elegant and hip to hold a college fraternity formal event for about 150 people. Last year it was held at the Edgewater Resort but we would love something different, more posh.

I have heard the Holiday Inn Sun Spree Resort is going to be opening soon and it sounds like there might be a great facility for private parties. Does anyone know anything about this or any advice on any facilities that would fit the criteria?

We can consider up to a half hour drive. Thanks!

Gekko - do you know if Hamilton's is still in business? The links don't seem to get me to their site.

Hamilton's has been out of business for several years. The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort is not a new resort -- maybe just undergoing renovation?? Other choices would be the Bay Point Marriott and the Boardwalk Beach Resort. However, don't think either are more posh than Edgewater.
What fraternity and what college? Just curious as I have nephews in fraternities in the southeast.

Bay Point Marriott came to mind, but it's been a few years since I've been there.

Sorry, I forgot about the tornado that destroyed Hamilton's.
