My family and I would like to go to Cape Cod, at the last minute, for maybe only one night over Labor Day weekend. I know most places have three-night minimums on holidays--but does anyone know how I might find out if any place is offering one night only at a discount?

Call the chamber of commerce, I imagine all are full close to a year in advance, and one night is impossible.

your best bet is probably Sunday, and the only way to find a room is probably to call on the day-of-arrival, if they've had an early check out or no-show then you might be in luck.

Horrible traffic that weekend however.

This place has rooms available, but I can't imagine why anyplace would have "discounts" available that weekend.

Try the Spring Garden Inn...think it's in Sandwich. I've stayed there 3 times and just love it.....quaint, great view out the back....friendly.....clean.... etc...coffee and pastries in the morning too!! I don't know what the rates for Labor Day weekend are..I always go the first week in October.
