Las Vegas Breakfast

I had read on Fodor some reasonably LV restaurants for breakfast. Where are they located? I cannot seem to find those old threads. Do they only exist downtown? Thanks.

What do you call reasonable? To some it's a $3 meal, to others $30 and to others $300?

We eat breakfast in the hotel we are staying at, it's just more convenient. All have coffee shops with regular breakfast menus (prices vary depending on the class of the hotel). Most hotels also have a place to grab coffee and a muffin should that be all you want.

There is a Denny's mid-strip (by Harrah's), also Peppermill is further up. McDonald's is by Denny's also. Since we eat breakfast at our own hotel and always have I've never spent much time looking for other places to have that meal.

We are staying The Mirage. I guess that will do. I am not interested in all you can eat. I am a light eater for breakfast, and buffet will not work for me. Clearly, I will not want to spend over $15.00 for all you can eat buffet when a great cup of coffee/roll will fine.

We had an inexpensive breakfast a the Four Queens and won some money at their slots.

We were staying at Paris at the time. If you can get by with a cup of coffee, go for a late breakfast at the Paris buffet--they bring out their luncheon items--you'll want a light or really late dinner.

Did you have a car? If not how long of a bus ride is it downtown? I am assuming this is the best way to transport oneself around without an auto.

I'm sorry. We ate breakfast on the Strip at the Barbary Coast not the Four Queens.
Look at www.cheapovegas.com for more suggestions.

Mirage has multiple dining options, including a good coffee shop, a pretty-good buffet and a coffee-and-baked-goods joint off the casino floor. None of these is the "Steak-and-Eggs-for-$1.99" joint you might be thinking of (you do have to get off-Strip for that), but they're all reasonable.

Diann, we stay at the Mirage alot. They have two "Roasted Bean" locations where you can get coffee (paper cups), muffins, croissants, etc. (as well as sandwiches/desserts later in the day). You order at the counter and can take your food to a table and eat or back to your room.

The Caribe Cafe has regular sit down and be served breakfasts where you can to the eggs/bacon/potatos route, pancakes, waffles or you can simply order a muffin/coffee or toast/whatever. The Paradise Cafe, outside by the pool, also serves breakfasts.

If you are into Starbucks you can walk next door to Treasure Island and indulge there. Starbucks also has a Krispy Kreme.

Since we like sitdown breakfasts served to us rather then coffee in paper cups we prefer Caribe Cafe when at the Mirage -- we never do buffets so I cannot comment on them anyway (not that they seem to be what you want)!!!
