Las Vegas Food Info

Before you email me to do a search, I have already done that as I am looking for any new updates as the quality of restaurants can and do changeMy husband and I will be in Vegas from 4/10 - 4/15 staying at the Monte Carlo. Has anyone stayed there, would love some first hand recent accounts.
I have not heard any good reports on any of the restaurants or buffets there so I am looking for other options.
Specifically I am looking for good breakfast options (price is no object and anything unique is welcome) either buffet or sit down (I have heard many positive responses for Paris and Bellagio breakfast buffet, but what makes them so good). As we will be there on Easter Sunday should we be looking for special Sunday Brunch? Dinner - we are thinking about The Top of World (really for the view) and Emerils Delmonico Steakhouse so we need a few more options. We are both doing Atkins (low carb) so if there are any restaurants specializing in this would love to hear about that. Would love to know who has the best burgers as well as the best dim sum (so we might go off Atkins for a meal or two.
Thanks so much!

You know, one of our fav breakfast restaurants is at NYNY-America's cafe. I guess its pretty basic (not buffet) but they have great, indulgent, very NON Atkins breakfasts (and I'm sure plenty of eggs, bacon, etc for you...) but we love it! They also have surprisingly good margaritas. You don't have to have them for breakfast but hey, why not?

I recently ate breakfast at the MGM buffet and it was really good! There was a wide selection of meats, eggs, fruits, and breads, as well as an omelette station. I think it was probably pretty typical, as breakfast buffets go, but the MGM is rather close to the Monte Carlo. You definitely won't go away hungry!

I've never eaten breakfast at the Paris buffet, but I have had lunch and dinner. I highly recommend you go there, but maybe for lunch instead. The food selection seemed to be the same but the $$ was less. We've gone for linner (late lunch, early dinner) around 3:30 and it was enough to carry us through the evening.

I love the Monte Carlo..I think you will be happy there. Quiet, clean, easy to navigate, location. Good help, Airy bright Casino. Be sure to try the Monte Carlo $1 machines. I am not a big slot player but always try those for $20 or so.

The Brew Pub at Monte Carlo is one of my favorite restaurants for lunch or casual dinner. Nothing fancy but good food at good prices and excellent beer. The buffet is a solid value but it is "normal" in comparrison to bigger name buffets.

The best B-fast buffet I have had is indeed Paris. High quality food, excellent pastries, cooked to order, etc. Crepes to die for, Fresh OJ, Ambiance, excellent service...you name it.

In lieu of dim sum, would you consider Thai food? Lotus of Siam is a Thai restaurant in LV that was rated the best Thai restaurant in America by Gourmet magazine. Oddly, it's in a strip mall waaaaay off the strip and has no presence whatsover, either inside or out. But the food is great.

Love Monte Carlo. Very clean, not smokey and easy to get around. There is an Italian restaurant in the back that is sooooooo good and very reasonable. We have eaten there quite a few times. Their breadsticks are to die for. YOu are also close to other casinos. Unfortunately the tram to the Bellagion is not running due to expansion of the tram. Boo hoo.
