Vegas Food.
I will be in Vegas next week and was wondering what are the best places for food. Iam not a beef or a pork person. I heard Paris has a good breakfast buffet and Aladdin Spice Market has the best dinner buffet. Are these good enough.

Meals in Vegas range from $4.99 steak special at Ellis Island to $350 prix fixe dinner at Joel Robuchon.
If you give a price range and type of food you like you'll get a more informed answer. I'd also do a search on www.chowhound.com and you'll get hundreds of suggestions.

<Are these good enough>
Good enough for what???
You asked what the best places for food are...they are not buffets at Paris or Aladdin (I love buffets and have been to both).
These buffets are good and very edible but you should be more specific as to what you are looking for because "best place for food" and "buffet" rarely belong in the same sentence.
Be more specific for what you are looking for.

i think that the Paris breakfast buffet is definately "real food" and definately good enough.
Aladdin on the other hand is in the process of transition to a Planet Hollywood. Not sure how that has affected the buffet but I can't imagine it is a plus right now.
You say you aren't a beef or pork person..Does that mean you are a chicken person? Fish person? Foi Gras person? Veggie person?
What does that mean?

Sushi House Manda - all you can eat made to order sushi. Very good, and if you go early, you may get a chef all to yourself.chef to myself.
And the people are nice.
On my last visit, the price was $29 for the special, with a $26 early bird special.

If you like cajun/creold food. I highly recommend Commander's Palace in Desert Passage at Aladdin. We LOVED it. We went on a Saturday morning for the Jazz Brunch (offered Fridays through Sundays starting at 10:30am). You can do a la carte or do the brunch package which is $36/person. We chose the brunch package which was worth every penny! You must be a good eater because it's a lot of food. The gumbo as an appetizer was DELICIOUS. For the entree, we had the gulf shrimp creole served with Louisiana popcorn rice. It was SOOOO GOOD! Then there's dessert. I had the bread pudding souffle and my husband had the beignets. All YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! We had to be rolled out of the restaurant!

Where are you actually staying? I think there are several very good buffet offerings at various hotels in LV and no need to necessarily travel miles and miles for scrambled eggs in a chafing dish.

Iam staying in MGM Grand. And Iam looking for best buffets. The reason I said I am not a beef/pork person is because , some buffets focus more on these types of meat, whereas some buffets focus on all type - fish/beef/pork/chicken. Iam a Chicken and fish person. Not too much into Asian stuff though.

With all the great food in Vegas and your eating requriements, the last place I'd want to go is a buffet. I understand the kitsch value, but there's much much much much better eating in Vegas and it isn't being reheated over a bunsen burner.

The best reasonably priced restaurants aren't on the strip.
Off Strip
Hash House A Go-Go has the best breakfast in LV (Martha Stewart ate there on her show). It costs the same as a buffet but is much higher quality.
Nora's has excellent Italian food. Very cheap and very good.
Strip
L'atelier de Joel Robuchon and Joel Robuchon at the MGM Grand are the best restaurants in Vegas. L'Atelier is about $150 pp and Joel Robuchon is $350 pp. He is the only 3 star Michelin chef in LV.

We enjoyed the Paris buffet for dinner. It was reccomended to us by my sister-in-law. Paris was a fun place to people watch! We also ate at the Effile Tower. The view was fantastic but the food was not.

Fodors has this to say about Vegas bufferbr />
===========
The first "gourmet buffet" opened with the Bellagio,
where it fit in with mogul Steve Wynn's plan for a classier joint.
Today, the top five buffets are the Bellagio ($24.95 to $31.95 at dinner,
$17.95 at lunch),
Paris's Le Village Buffet ($24.95 at dinner, $17.95 at lunch),
the Aladdin's Spice Market Buffet ($23. 99 at dinner, $15.99 at lunch),
and newcomers Cravings, at the Mirage ($17.50 at lunch, $22.50 at dinner),
and Dishes, at Treasure Island ($15 at lunch, $20 at dinner weekdays,
and $26 at dinner Friday and Saturday).
But nearly every resort of any size presents its own version of the
classic buffet. One of the lowest priced is at Circus Circus
($10.49 at dinner, $9.49 at lunch), serving an estimated 10,000 daily.
Caesars Palace's buffet is at Cafe Lago, where prices are $14.99 at breakfast
and $16.99 at lunch.
=============
Looks like Bellagio is out of question for me as I have 2 1/2 yr old kid, But paris is sure on my plan.

Just having been there I can vouch for the Aladdin Buffet. It is really 8 buffets in one, Mexican, Italian, Asian, Far Eastern, Seafood, Salad, American and Dessert. The selection and quality of food is very good. You could be vegetarian and still find a great variety. We were there with two very fussy eaters and theywere inpressed with the selection. Don't know what it is like at lunch, though. I'd be interested in finding out what the difference is between lunch and supper.

I don’t go to Vegas for the food, so I think the buffets are fine. Bally’s has a great one – inexpensive and plenty of options. The food is in a separate room so it feels more like a regular restaurant. DO NOT go to the Rio. There is also a cute place for breakfast – I think it’s called the Peppermill. They have a fireside lounge area that is fantastically cheesy.
