reservations at the Venetian - but where for breakfast?

First trip to Vegas, staying 3 nights at the Venetian. I have booked us (2 adults, 2 kids) a helicopter Grand Canyon trip that picks us up at the hotel fairly early. Just wondering where we should head for a quick breakfast either in the Venetian or really close by (yeah, I know nothing is that close by!) If it were up to me I'd skip breakfast but the children...
Whilst I'm here, any recommendations for breakfast/lunch buffets for the other two mornings? Thanks.

Paris is known to have one of the best breakfast buffets. For lunch i would try the Aladdin (very popular among the locals, who generally avoid the strip).

For the morning of your helicopter ride, there is a food court w/n the Veneitan (2 actually, one up by the Stores and one on your way from the elevators to the lobby).

If you are looking for basic breakfasts, there is a Dennys on the strip, just a very short walk from the venetian.

The buffet in Paris is the best for Breakfast. Just a short walk from the Venetian.

You could go across the street to the Mirage. They have a coffee shop where you can get coffee/tea/pastries/muffins. You can eat there or take out. If you want something other than "cake" - there's also the Caribe Cafe (in the Mirage) that's open 24 hours, and reasonably priced. Of course, I'd also check the Venetian's web site to see if they have similar places there, especially if you're pressed for time.

Why don't you just eat at the Venetian? If you go downstairs there are like 4 or 5 different places all in the same room with the Gelato place. Everyone can get whatever they want, including Krispy Kreme donuts.

I'm with Wendy.

Unless you're going to hang out and really get your $$$ worth at the buffet, just hit a coffee shop or a quick bite.
There have been a few times over the years that I go to a breaky buffet and end up eating, oh, about $6 worth of food if I was at Denny's. I have to gauge my hunger at that moment and then decide if it's worth a trip to a buffet. Hubby is the same way. That being said, Paris does have a good breaky buffet, as well as a couple of good lunch places. It's not a buffet, but the kids would probably like the Cheesecake Factory at Caesars Forum Shops.

Have fun!! I broke my foot on a hiking trip down in the canyon(Supai, you'll see it) and had catch a helicopter out. It was the coolest thing.

I would eat at the food court on the casino level. It looked like it had good variety and you will walk by it on the way to the valet are if that is where you will be picked up. Not sure of the hours but I'm sure they have something 24/7.
Have fun.

If your trip leaves early and you have 2 kids with you, the Paris buffet is quite a LONG walk under those circumstances, probably take you at least 1/2 hour or more to get to the buffet at Paris. I think it would be ridiculous to try to go that far just for breakfast. I agree with other posters that you will probably be best off to eat right at the Venetian. Save breakfast someplace else for another morning.

Having returned from the Venetian two weeks ago, I'd also recommend going down to the Casino level, picking up some breakfast, coffee and fresh coffee down there. It's on the expensive side, but pretty good.

The Grand Luxe Cafe inside the Venetian has wonderful breakfasts and great coffee. I sometimes go down there just to have breakfast. For a quick bite, hit the food court.

The Peppermill!!! It's just at the end of the strip by Venetian/Sands Expo. It's a local favorite but they have the best french toast and hot chocolate. The kids will love it!
