logandog - I agree but everyone has their own opinion. Have been going to Wailea/Kihei several times a year for the last 6-7 years. (My job that sadly I don't have any more). I have a lot of tropical looking pictures.

Should have said the tropical pictures were taken from my lanai or hotel grounds.

Neither Kaanapali nor Kihei, Wailea, Makena are 'tropical' without landscaping and *water*. You wan' tropical on Maui...look other side island fo' wet, bro. Look Kauai. Look Oahu. Look Hilo an' Hana. Bettah bring yo' slicker an' Raid.
