Jackson Hole hotels?

Hi all -- I've been trolling through old threads to read about various options, but I'm still not sure which hotel would be best. We're skiers, so we'd like to have easy access to the slopes, but it'd also be nice to have access to restaurants, etc.

I've been looking at the following hotels: Hotel Terra, Teton Mountain Lodge, Alpenhof, Snake River Lodge, Inn at Jackson Hole. Could you guys offer some advice about which might be best? As far as I can tell, the first two are a little more expensive than the latter three.

Thanks so much!

We stayed at the Alpenhoff this past fall and loved it. They have a really good restaurant there as well. It wasn't snow season, but it is right next to the Bridger gondola and the Aerial Tram. Keep in mind that it is in Teton Village and not in the town of Jackson itself. Jackson is about 10 minutes or so away.

We LOVED the Alpenhof. We wanted to be close to the hill so it was convenient for skiing and we had no trouble at all getting back and forth to the town. We only took a cab once - all the other times we took the bus (that stops right outside the hotel). The hotel was really fantastic. I will never forget sitting in the heated pool and jacuzzi in the shadow of the mountain.

I had one of the best meals of my life at the Alpenhof restaurant. It was bison tenderloin on some type of potato gratin cake. Soooo tender. And breakfast came with the room, it was buffet style but even the scrambled eggs were cooked just perfectly.

Thanks for the help! I guess we'll go for the Alpenhof, unless anyone out there has a different opinion...

We have stayed at the FS in Teton Village and got a great deal with a ski package.
What a gorgeous place to stay and a great mountain to ski!
Friends have stayed at Alpenhof and loved it and who doesn't love the Mangy Moose!

About a mile outside jackson (along the road toward Teton Village), there's a restaurant we really enjoyed:
