We dropped 27 degrees, but the humdity is still nasty. The winds were so bad I thought I was in Oz. One of our dead trees that was slated to come down tomorrow, came down on its own during the storm. Every single flower pot turned over -- a mess, but could have been much, much worse.
Looking forward to a delightful day tomorrow

I've lived in Buffalo my whole life, and this is only the 2nd time I remember a summer so hot!!! But it's not the heat that's getting to me, it's the HUMIDITY!!! I can't stand the humidity. And to think we've talked about moving to Florida to get away from the cold. Yikes!

Off to my lake in Michigan tonight for 4 days. It's 78 there with a mild breeze.
And I love winter when it is 25 degrees and there is snow all over the lake. Neighbors come visit us on a snowmobile and there are no piers or shore stations visible, so the leafless view is particularly more outstanding.
When it was 104 for all those hours outside last Saturday & Sunday, we were conjuring up the sensation of snowburn on your face and how your feet feel after ice skating etc. Also hot toddies on the deck with a big bonfire next to the sea wall. My guy said he could almost feel the ice in his beard, almost. Ha-ha!

Michelle, if you are on Fodors 3 days before your wedding, you are either much cooler (inside) than I would be or you're really wigging out! Congrats and good luck, esp. with the weather!
Meanwhile, here in Chapped Heel NC, I'm feeling gypped because the cold front hasn't really made it yet, stalled over the mountains or something, so it's steamy again this morning. Bleah. Tired of breathing AC-breath air.

Oahu, surprisingly, has a huge raincloud over the whole island today. It's a lovely 82 degrees with light rain. currently it's noon so there's sun peeking out and I can see the tropical reef fish in Honolulu Harbor (literally outside my office window).

Its much cooler here in Williamsburg today than it was yesterday. 90 compared to 102. My poor son had to walk 18 holes carrying his clubs for a tournament yesterday THEN he had to go out and play 3 more for a playoff in 102 degree. A lot of moms and dads were following in carts with ice, water, and cool towels. Not this mom. I am such a bad golf mom!
