Huntsville, Ala. help please...

Hey ,all. I need some help here.My daughter's girl scout troop will be visiting the Huntsville area in April. We need a nice, clean, safe hotel as near to the Space center as possible.Indoor pool would be nice(thats a tough one for me to say..I tend to despise them....)as well as continental breakfast offering. The other moms put me in charge of this because I travel.... but usually not to Huntsville!!!Please advise! Thanks

Type in the address of the space center on mapquest or similar map page. They often have an option of nearby hotels, restaurants and gas stations, etc.

Does the space center not have a web site with hotel recs? Belle

Marriott Huntsville is your best bet. Actually, let me amend that: it's your ONLY option. There are only 3 decent places to stay in Huntsville. This is the best of the 3, it's close to the Space and Rocket Center, and it meets all of your other criteria. Not sure if the pool is indoors, but their pool is being renovated during March so it should be a nice pool by April.

If that doesn't work for you, try the Hilton downtown or the Airport Sheraton.
Hope this helps. Have a nice time in Huntsville!

If you have extra time try the Earlyworks and Sciquest museums. Fun!

By the way, if you do find other names of hotels near the space center you will NOT want to stay in them. Just a word of advice.
