LONDON HOTEL WITH POOL
Hello everybody.
Just wondering if somebody knows a hotel in London with a Pool. My husband is going on a business trip next week and I am going with my two little ones so a pool and a big room are a must while daddy is away or if weather is not good to be out. Read a few posts on the Meridian Picadilly but reviews are kind of mix. Pool and location a must. I am aware of London prices so imagine a hotel with pool wont be cheap!! By the way we are in Paris, so it is not crazy to go with them for 3 days. THANKS

Yes - but many hotels with just regular pools don;t allow toddlers - for obvious reasons. I would do a search on one of the major ravel web sites that lets you search for amenities (I think travelocity does), then check with the hotels to see if there are age restrictions on the pools.

Thanks for the info. Yes they are toddlers. Normally hotels with olympic pools have some restrictions hours for children...but normally it should be OK. I will check the suggestions. Wont be able to afford the Savoy or samilar but a normal 4 star hotel in the City.

Check out the Rembrandt. It has a pool in its Aquilla spa & it's medium priced for London. The room I stayed in was large & they've remodeled since so ask about the size if you enquire. Really good location directly across from the Victoria & Albert. Lots of restaurants nearby also.

Just in case you can't find a hotel with a (kiddie-friendly) swimming pool, you might want to consider public leisure centres. I take my kids (3yo and 5.5yo) to either Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre (tube Swiss Cottage) or Porchester Centre (tube Queensway or Royal Oak). Both have shallow (0.9m depth) toddler pools that's heated warm enough for the little ones. We pay discount as residents, but I believe the charge would be no more than GBP5 for adults. Though you'll need to bring your own towels. Swiss Cottage has an added feature of having a indoor play area. If the weather is nice, take the kids to Princess Di playground in Hyde Park.

There's also the Hesperia London-Victoria www.hesperia-londonvictoria.com. They're located right next to Victoria station. The hotel use to be a Holiday Inn. I've stayed at this hotel twice and it really is a nice place. They do have a good size indoor pool, as well as a jacuzzi and steam room (or maybe it was a sauna).

talk about being wet and COLD, you might also want to inquire re: the pool temperature. The kids training pools we use (the ones I listed before) are around 29C, definitely comfortablefor toddlers but too warm for lap swimmers. Conversely, the kids would shiver and want to come out in 15min in the water at adult pools with 27C.
As for toddler-friendly weather-proof attraction, you might want to consider Science Museum, Army Museum (good indoor soft play areas. I always wonder is that for future TA training?), and Childrens Museum nr Bethnal Green.
Actually the weather is still quite comfortable. Autumnal, and sunny for a change, though last Sun was dreary. Definitely try parks if sunny. Feeding ducks and swans at Regetn'ts Park, Princess Di playground in Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens.
