Hotels In Jackson Hole, Wyoming
My family and I are planning a Christmas holiday trip to Jackson Hole. We are considering three hotels in the area. The Wyoming Inn is one and we have stayed there before and were pleased. but it does not have quite what we wanted during that time period. We also are considering Homewood Suites and The Ranch Inn in downtown Jackson. The Ranch Inn was mentioned favorably on this site. Trip Advisor has no reviews on Ranch Inn or Homewood Suites . Any help from those living in the area or those who have stayed in the above or other properties would be appreciated

While not in downtown Jackson, we stayed at Teton Village - which is a large group of condos rented by night or week. At base to tram, several restaurants, exercise gym, etc. Tradeoff is that you are not right in Jackson (about 10-15 minutes) but we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen condo for less than hotel would have cost (but it was summer).

Thanks Gail. We had thought about a condo but a good many of them have stairs going up to the condo and also bedrooms on second floor. My husband will be undergoing knee surgery a few months before our trip, so we need a place with an elevator.

The building we were in had some condos on first floor with patios instead of balconys. But considering your husband's mobility uncertainty, staying in town might work better anyway - some people like Teton Village for proximity to ski slopes, but am assuming that will also not be a priotity for him.

We had wonderful rooms with the Wagon Wheel last Aug.for 2 nights. The rooms were located on the creek in the back of the property in what is a 4plex. We had 2rooms down with patios & 1up with deck. They were large very clean rooms with table and chairs, fireplace, small fridge and micro...We could not have asked for a more lovelier spot to relax. Wonderful front desk service, restaurant next door, and we could walk to town and the Elk Refuge visitor center was right across the street. We had stayed here back in '87 in the older section, and were nicely suprised by these new rooms on the creek! The hot tub was righ behind to us too, another plus!
