Hi Reckoning, every time we have stayed in Ravenna we have stayed at the Hotel Centrale Byron which is on Novembre the street that is goes right into the main piazza..Piazza del Popolo. The hotel is right there in the historial center so you can walk to everything.

The rooms are a tad small but have always been very clean and the hotel staff have always been wonderful. The location could not be better and good rates also.

Ravenna is a beautiful city, have a wonderful time. I am sure you will (fabulous food also!)

BTW, if you have any other questions regarding your trip it is better to post on the Europe Board so that you will get more answers. Best wishes.

You are more than welcome..prego..Reckoning. I sure hope you two enjoy Ravenna as much as I always have. Just thinking about it makes me wish I was there. Do at the end of the day relax at one of the cafe's in the Piazza del Popolo, have a drink and just people watch. So much fun and a nice break from viewing all the wonderful sites. Hope you will find time to post a trip report after you get home.
