Hotel in Indy

I will be meeting my college age daughter in Indy for just one night. She will be driving up from Terre Haute to spend an evening with me. As I will not have a car, I was thinking of staying at the airport.

Are there any suggestions on which hotel to choose?

Though I've stayed at several downtown Indy hotels, I've not stayed at the airport.

The Adam's Mark gets poor reviews. It's become quite tired as it's on the auction block for sale.

The Radisson gets mixed reviews too. Seems Radisson cut corners when they remodeled.

The best bet would probably be the Marriott Courtyard. Marriott takes good care of their properties. I have no reason to think they haven't taken care of this one too.

My wife spent a night at the airport Radisson last week and reported that it was okay, clean and unremarkable.

If your daughter will have a car, why not just drive into downtown Indy? It's only about 10-15 minutes from the airport and then you can have a decent meal (rather than room service) and stay at a nice place. I've stayed at the Radisson, Westin and Omni downtown which are all nice - and I'm sure there are other suggestions.

I'd also recommend staying downtown, even if you don't have a car. I'd spring for a cab ride....it's 10-15 min to downtown, and once you're there, it's a pleasant place to be (the Circle, the canal, Circle Center Mall). There's really nothing to do out by the airport.

BTW, the Adam's Mark was purchased by Hilton this past spring/summer and has been undergoing renovations.

We did the same thing when my son was in college. We've stayed downtown several times at the Embassy Suites. The downtown has a lot to offer and is very nice to just walk around.
