I really have to disagree with the directions going on the 405 to the 605 to the 91. We had guests go that way abouta month ago and they got into terrible traffic before getting to Riverside and then had terrible traffic all through that area due to construction and they said they would never go that way again. I thought maybe it was just them but my brother-in-law lives in PS and came in and went back that way last weekend and he said never again. He always goes out the 10 or 60. I prefer the 10 after Ontario as the 60 lanes get less and there is construction all around Riverside and Moreno Valley is a mess too. The 10 is busy but keeps moving and it has carpool lanes too. I agree that staying near LAX it would be best if you are tired but if you have a little energy and want to get closer to PS but not go all the way late at night and then search for your place to stay out there I'd go to Ontario. Do try Priceline and you can get a decent hotel for a good price and you are right by either the 60 or 10 (again, I would take the 10 from there to the desert). YOu can leave LAX and take the 105 eastbound to the 605 North and then can go to either the 60 East or the 10 East. Good Luck!!

Thanks everyone. I think we are going to experiment with priceline but want to want until we are closer to when we leave just in case something should happen and we have to cancell our trip. (You never know with elderly parents.) Not sure where we will stay. I'm going to leave that up to my husband who does all the driving. But, as always, the help is appreciated.
