Taberna de Haro in Brookline, only authentic Spanish tapas in the city. Dali gets points for atmosphere and supposedly 'most romantic' but it can be loud and the food is only so-so. Tapeo (same owners as Dali) on Newbury is a scene but again, food is only so-so. In my humble opinion.

There's a very popular new tapas restaurant in town called Toro. It's billed as a Barcelona-style tapas bar and it's from one of the best chefs in the area, Ken Oringer of Clio. I haven't been there yet but I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try given Oringer's track record. It's in the South End at 1704 Washington Street.

I think you are looking for Tasca (in Brighton juist outside boston on comm ave) not Tosca, Tosca is an italian restaurant about 30 min south of Boston, excellent, but not tapas. I haven't been to Tasca, but you could likely find reviews on google if no one answers who has been.

Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendations. We went to Taberna de Haro and had a great time. The food was delicious, great Sangria, great wine selections, and friendly service. Thanks again!
