Help with Oahu port timetable, please!
We arrive in Honolulu at 1:15 pm on Sunday. A shuttle is pre-arranged (from the cruise line) to take us to the port. Our ship doesn't sail until 8 pm. I'm wondering if we might be able to squeeze in a visit to the Arizona Memorial. Anyone have any suggestions on whether or not that might be possible & how to do it (take The Bus, cab, etc.)? (Especially someone who's done it.) The ship excursions are only after debarking & our flight leaves too soon to fit it in then.
Appreciate any help! If not possible, any suggestions on what else we could do within walking distance of the terminal? Thanks so much!

Are you on NCL? If so, then your ship leaves from Pier 2. It's an 8 minute stroll from Aloha Tower Marketplace, where you can shop & dine. Discount coupons can be downloaded here:
www.alohatower.com/promotions.html
(check the calendar of events as well). The free shuttle to & from Pier 2 and Aloha Tower Marketplace runs from 9 to 3.
If you are boarding at Pier 10/11, then the Marketplace is right there. It's open till 6 p.m. on Sundays (restaurants stay open later).
Assuming you get to the ship by 2 p.m., check in and quickly drop your bags, you can get to the Arizona by 3(cutting it close) or 330. The Arizona closes at 5. Last tour is at 3. It's not impossible, but you should realistically keep in mind that maybe you might not make it in time, not to mention you'd have to stand in line.

MelissaHI-
Thanks for your help & suggestions (and links!)! Yes, we're on NCL. I did see on the Arizona website that they have the last tour at 3, so I think you're right & that would just be too much rush. I don't think that's how we want to start our trip! I'd heard about the Tower, but wasn't sure exactly where it was. We'll probably wander over there & then just enjoy getting to know our ship!
I really appreciate your help!

You have all week to get to know the ship--seriously, by day 3 you'll be old hands. You might as well spend some time at Aloha Tower Marketplace, and walk over to Chinatown.

Actually, at that time of day on a Sunday....maybe walk to Chinatown FIRST, then stop in at Aloha Tower Marketplace on your way back to the ship.
If you don't want go go that far, here's another walking map.

MelissaHI- You're a wonderful wealth of information! I've done a ton of research for this trip, but almost none on Honolulu because I didn't think we were going to have time to do anything there. We only received our flight times a couple weeks ago & then it looked like we might have time to do "something". Your suggestions are all wonderful & we'll enjoy the walk! Thanks again!
