Help! Need advice on Wicked Seats - Gershwin Theater

Two girlfriends and I are going to NYC Dec. 10-13 and would like to see Wicked. Please let me know which seats are the best bet for seeing everything:
For Thursday, 10 December
Ticketmaster: Row A, Seats 107-109 - $250 plus fees
BroadwayBox.com: Row O, Seats 113-115 - $179 plus fees

Is row A too close to see all of the action and will we end up with neck aches? Is row O too far away to see faces and other details? I have read that the mezzanine overhang begins at row N. Does this overhang on rows N-ZZ inhibit the viewing experience?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!

Yes A is much too close. No the overhang won't be a problem but all these tickets are broker prices. Go to ticketmaster for cheaper options.

Those A tickets are premium priced tix in the 4th row center. I still think too close. There are regular priced tickets in row U center for $110/each plus fees. You might contact www.applause-tickets.com and see what they've got. They often have good ones for this show.

mclaurie - thank you so much! I checked Ticketmaster and found Row U, Seats 105-107 as you stated above. Do you think U is too far back or should I grab these. I sent a note to applause-tickets.com but have not heard back from them yet.

Thank you!

I think those U tix are good for a lot less $$ but would PHONE Applause tix and see what they can offer. If their seats are great and you can afford to pay more, it might be worth it.

Thank you! I will do that today.

One more thing...I haven't been to NYC in a number of years or to a Broadway play and this is a first for my friends. What does one wear on a Thursday night to see Wicked? Kind of an embarrassing question, but we didn't want to make fools of ourselves :~) Thank you!

Wear whatever you're comfortable wearing. There are so many tourists who see Broadway shows directly from a day of touring, so you'll see some very causal attire. But I like to get dressed up a bit - I mean, if I'm paying the price for the ticket and I don't get to NY very often, I want to treat is as the special occasion it is.

Agree with missypie. Most people dress for whatever they're doing before or after the theater. You'll see everything from jeans and up. Wear what makes you happy.
