Help me plan a luxury, Fkorida family vacation - resort or villa rental affiliated w resort

Looking to do a Florida beach vacation and open to all areas of state. While we would liove all inclusive or a resort that at least includes breakfast and has lots of options for other meals, all will be considered. We prefer not to do a house rental unless the house is affiliated w a resort where we can enjpy amenities, Or an oceanfront house with at least 4 bedrooms to be considered. We are traveling 5 adults and 2 four year olds. We do not want to do Disney yet. Looking to pick a resort with fun activiites for kids besides just beach and pool. Good food and service a must. Upscale accomodations a bonus.

All inclusives are few in Florida, but there are tons of resorts... I would point you to a place like the Moorings Village and Spa on Islamorada where you can rent Ocean Cottages on a former plantation site... there are several great restaurants in Islamorada and you could side trip to Key West or Key Largo... themooringsvillage.com

South Seas Island Resort in Captiva may also fit the bill for your group... www.southseas.com You fly in and out of Ft Myers and they also have several choices of lodging... plus the famous shelling beaches of Captiva/Sanibel...

Tradewinds resort in St. Pete beach has lots of activities and amenities including a giant slide on the beach for the kids.

Like Gary said all inclusive is basically non-existent in Florida.

We just rented a villa at Hawks Cay in Duck Key. While not luxurious it was lovely and had access to all the resort amenities. Restaurants, spa, pools, golf.....

We had a 4 bedroom with its own mini pool - 2 masters with Kings and ensuite bathrooms. 2 other bedrooms (one 2 2 beds and the other with one) shared a bathroom. Down stairs there was 1/2 a bath and a pull out couch.
