HELP! Anyone have any info on Frenctown, NJ??

Planning a convenient getaway from NYC to a nice bed-and-breakfast. Frenchtown, NJ was recommended to me as a charming town. Any advice? We're considering staying at the Widow McCrea House, since it seems that Hunterdon House is no longer open.
Thank you!

I know Lambertville and New Hope better than Frenchtown. This place doesn't look all that special to me betty. The cottage is the only place that looks nice http://www.widowmccrea.com/cottage.html

What about the Wolverton Inn in Stockton?

I also know Lambertville and New Hope better. They are in close proximity. If visiting Frenchtown is a must do, you could acess it easy enough from the other 2 towns.

It would be wise to stay in Lambertville or New Hope INSTEAD of Frenchtown. While Frenchtown is pretty, it is only 2 small blocks long. You will be "done" exploring in about an hour and a half.

In New Hope and Lambertville you can fill up a weekend with all there is to see and do within strolling distance of any B&B.
