Weekend Trip from Philly

I am looking for a romantic weekend trip within 2 hours' drive of Philadelphia for the end of June. Any suggestions?

New Hope Pa. Many bed and breakfasts, quaint town. A playhouse, many fine restuarants shops, antiques.

Across the bridge from New Hope, literally walking distance, is Lambertville, NJ.

Also quaint shops, antiquing, bed and bkfts and good restaurants.

Enjoy!

I live 5 minutes from New Hope so I thought you should know that you have to book very very soon for weekends in Bucks County. Also, New Hope is a bit noisy and crowded, you might consider staying at a B and B up the Delaware River a bit. Check out the New Hope Bed and Breakfast sites.

Here are a couple suggestions - Inner Harbour (Baltimore) just over two hours, but a nice get-away. Cape May is also nice, but it may be hard to find rooms for late june. Also, New York,s Hudson River Valley is beautiful and romantic, probably 3+ hrs away.
There is a publication called the Discerning Traveler which has a lot of great Romantic places in the mid-atlantic states. I think the couple that publish it are from the Philly area.
Good Luck

St. Michaels and the surrounding area in Maryland on the Eastern Shore is great. We stayed at the Black Walnut Point Inn a few years ago. It's just outside St. Michaels, @15 minutes or so. Fantastic place, super nice owners!Wades Point Inn looks like a very nice place too-never stayed there though.

Try the Inn at Montchanin Village, just outside of Wilmington, DE and close to the Brandywine Valley gardens and museums. Excellent restaurant.

I'm also looking for a romantic weekend trip from Philly for the end of June. We enjoy historic places and good food. I like the suggestions so far, are there any others?

These are all very good suggestions, but I haven't heard the Lancaster area suggested yet. Try the General Sutter Inn in Lititz for a romantic stay.
