Great location......58th St and 6th/7th Ave. One block from Central Park, easy walking to stores on 57th St and Fifth Ave. Close to all mass transit and great restaurants. 14 blocks north of Times Square.
Nice hotel. Anything with the Helmsley name is a good choice.

I reserved rooms there for my out of town guests for my wedding two years ago. It was very nice, all of my guests enjoyed it. I think the price included continental breakfast.
My guests paid $165/night,(late October weekend) so you got a good price.
