Hello from the North Shore of Oahu
I am sitting at a desk that looks out Waialee beach. It is the same stretch of beach that connects with the pipeline, sunset and Waimaea. I am about 10 feet from the water so the sound of the ocean fills the air along with the smell of the pikaki lei I have on (kind of like Jasmine or ginger flower).
So amazing how any worries, stresses just peal away here. Enjoy your day where ever you are!

yes Melissa I will be in tomorrow. I am taking my friends son to Pirates of the Carribean then we have two nights at the Royal Gardens. We are coming into town to see the Foster Gardens special lantern night tour then also we will be going to the hula festival at Moanalua Gardens. Oh yes and of course a bon dance some night there.
I will probably also be back in Waikiki towards the end of my stay (end of the month to Aug3) would be fun to meet up with you if you are around.
Pspercy: I can't believe how much the North Shore looks like the outer islands. I was walking on the beach today facing Kaena point and I was thinking how much this looks like Kauai's North Shore. I have to admit I think to live in the islands Oahu really has everything. You have world class entertainment traveling into town along with Art, Cuisine yet hop in your car and 1 hour away you are in the country.
I am at a friend's house and I could see turtles out the window just after sunset this evening.

I am envious of you right now! I thought the north shore of Oahu was spectacular. The only thing is, like you, I was there this time of year, last year. If I make it back there, I want to experience those big waves, and possibly a whale watch, so I want to plan to visit in winter.

"Aloha Sarah. Hope your north shore vacation is going well. A couple
of years ago Blaine Jacobson made an offer to you to be the guest of
the PCC for a day to help clear up some mis-interpretations of the
Polynesia culture. If this is of interest to you during your stay
next week please e-mail us at [email protected], and [email protected] and we'll make
arrangements for you and one guest. We'll line you up with
specialists in the cultural areas where you have questions. I have to
be off-island for part of the week but we'll see that everything is
arranged. Raymond Magalei"
