The most incredible place we have ever stayed was the Kenwood Inn and Spa. However, it is about a 25 min. drive from Healdsburg (in a beautiful vineyard area on Hwy 12). In the town of Healdsburg we have stayed at the Healdsburg Hotel which is right on the square and lovely. However, its been a few years, and at the time we thought the service was spotty and we did have endless issues with billing. They were fairly new then, so hopefully those problems have been resolved.

It's been a while since we've stayed there (we were guests twice) and we loved the place. Both the rooms and the food were superb. You might want to check it out.

My wife and I loved the Belle de Jour Inn. The rooms are each in separate little cottages. The grounds are beautiful; every morning we had two-three bunnies out back behind our cottage. The breakfasts were served in the main house and were delicious. At check-in we received an excellent bottle of wine from a local winery. The hosts were very helpful in planning our day. Enjoy!

Do some research on tripadvisor as well as the post here - lots of good information. We stayed at the Raford Inn - wonderful old home - not in town though - out in the countryside. Beautiful setting and home.

We just love the Grape Leaf Inn....within walking distance to the plaza and great restaurants.
Further afield, just outside of Forestville is the Farmhous Inn, great restaurant and very nice rooms.\
Also have read rave reviews about the Madrona Manor, but have never stayed there.

I liked the looks of this place when I went through years ago:

I suppose, in light of full disclosure, I should admi that we didn't make it back in time for wine and stuff. We were having too much fun at wineries or restaurants. The BnB in Santa Barbara that served Oreos and ice cold milk at 8pm was much more my speed. That may be why I like the Four Sisters Inns - I can swipe fresh baked cookies all day and night!

We are huge fans of the Camilla Inn. It is a B&B right off of the square. The breakfast is to die for and we loved the beautiful house and meeting all the interesting people.
We also enjoyed the wine and snack hour before dinner.
And the pillows were absolutely fabulous, which made for a great nights sleep.
Help is always available and one may use the kitchen to store your goodies and drinks. Tried to get back this fall, but it will have to wait until spring. Have fun!
