Hawaii Maui -Palms at Wailea

Hi, just wanted to know more about the 1 bedroom oceanview v/s garden view. Is it worth the extra money? Ocnvw only avail through bookit.com. Has anyone used that site? How far are the units from the beach?
Any input on the Palms is appreciated. Thanks

My inlaws stayed there for a wedding August of 2004. They complained of the terrible heat. - Just the bedroom had a window unit. It made them miserable.

I can't say about the heat in December either, but I agree with crazy4hawaii...we stayed there in August 1994 and were misled by the brochure that said "remote control air conditioning in master bedroom", that is, we thought that the entire unit had A/C and it happened to be a remote unit in the master. WRONG! It was ridiculous that only the bedroom had A/C. Absolutely ridiculous. It was miserable, stifling heat.

We did have an ocean view, which was nice enough, but from our unit you couldn't really see all that much of the ocean, just a background of it and a lot of palm trees dotting the view. You're not all that close to the ocean there. Don't know it it would really be all that worth it. If I were you, I'd look elsewhere. I don't know about the other condos in Wailea, we love Wailea but really didn't care for the Palms. And that was in 1994--don't know if they've been renovated or remodeled since or what.

Good luck!

Thanks, that helps a lot with the oceanview question. I think I still need input from someone who has stayed at the Palms in Dec & more recently? Did the master bedroom a/c work fine?Anybody??
