Halloween in Manhattan

Any suggestions for something fun to do? Bonus points if there are lots of photo ops. Related question: are there any Day of the Dead events going on? Thanks!

Go to the village & watch the PARADE. You won't believe your eyes.

Thanks, mclaurie. Approximate time? Best location? Or should I stop being lazy and look it up myself?

LOL, Pup will let me put anything on him! I like the idea of a cape and horns ((&)) although I will be helplessly laughing and he will be confused.

Get there EARLY. If you're going to the parade in the Village, you'll want a good viewing spot.

Afterward, the bars around the Village will be in full swing.

"other" has to be right next to # - when I put it in, it made a Fodors emoticon so I had to put a space there.
